Terms

These terms govern your purchase and use of ActivityLine from Merlinsbeard Pty Ltd.

License

ActivityLine includes a free 24-hour trial beginning on first launch. After the trial ends, monitoring requires a paid license. The trial may not be reset or circumvented. A purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use ActivityLine on the number of Macs shown at checkout. You may not redistribute, resell, or provide your license key to others.

Acceptable use

Use ActivityLine on Macs you own or are permitted to monitor. Do not remove or defeat its licensing, or attempt to derive its source beyond what applicable law expressly allows you to do regardless of this agreement.

Payment and delivery

The advertised price is $14 USD before any tax our payment provider must collect. That provider is the merchant of record and supplies checkout, receipts, license delivery, and the customer portal.

Updates and compatibility

Your purchase covers the current version and maintenance updates made available for it. ActivityLine requires a supported version of macOS, and some GPU information is unavailable on particular hardware or macOS releases.

Analytics

This site counts visits and connects completed purchases to the visit that led to them, using a single first-party cookie. What is collected and why is set out in the privacy policy. Blocking cookies for this site does not affect your purchase, your license, or the app.

Refunds

Purchases are covered by a voluntary seven (7) day no-questions-asked refund policy from the date of purchase. To request one, contact jake@activityline.app from the address you bought with, within seven days. You do not have to give a reason.

Refunds are issued by Polar, our merchant of record, back to the original payment method. Once a refund is processed the license is revoked and ActivityLine stops monitoring at its next license check, so please keep the app only if you are keeping the purchase.

This policy is voluntary and sits alongside your consumer guarantees rather than replacing them. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer law where you live, including remedies for a product that is faulty or not as described.

Termination

You may stop using ActivityLine at any time by quitting it and removing it. We may revoke a license that was obtained fraudulently, charged back, or shared in breach of these terms. Ending a license does not affect the refund rights above.

Warranty and liability

ActivityLine is provided as-is. It is a convenience monitor, not a diagnostic, safety, financial, or medical system, and its readings should not be the sole basis for a decision that matters. To the maximum extent permitted by law we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, or data, however it arises and whether or not we were advised it was possible.

Some rights and guarantees — including under the Australian Consumer Law — cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing in these terms attempts to exclude, restrict, or modify them. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited at our option to resupplying ActivityLine or refunding what you paid for it, and our total aggregate liability for all claims will not exceed the amount you paid.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Australia, without displacing any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms for future purchases and will change the date above when we do. The terms you agreed to at checkout continue to govern that purchase.
